Importing UTM coordinates

Importing and Displaying UTM Coordinates
The standard coordinate format in mWater is Latitude and Longitude. However, it is also possible to import coordinates from a UTM format (example: 36 N 0604062 UTM 0131137, or 36 N 0604062 0131137) so that they are stored into the system as lat/long. It is also possible to display any lat/long coordinates as UTM in tables and visualizations.

Importing UTM coordinates

Location information can be imported from UTM coordinates in either Surveys or Sites.
To import it for Surveys, just go to the Survey's Responses tab and select Import, and then select the option Latitude/Longitude in one column. Can be UTM format.
Then you can enter your UTM data in the column generated in the import template, and upon import these coordinates will be converted to lat/long.

For Sites, enter the UTM data in a column in your import template, and then during the import step from Manage -> Sites map that column to the option GPS Location - geometry - Latitude/longitude of the water point. Note: Don't select the ones which include Latitude or Longitude in the name, because you want to have the system pick the coordinate from a single column. This is what the option with just geometry is for.

Displaying coordinates in UTM format

Any coordinates can now also be displayed in UTM format. Whenever you are displaying coordinates in a field or table, you can now choose to format it as UTM:
This way you can build dashboards, datagrids, and custom map popups displaying your coordinates as UTM when needed.
