Users can sign up to various courses, access learning materials, complete quizzes to test their knowledge, and finally gain certificates upon successful demonstration of knowledge. This is intended as the best way for new users to build an understanding of the App, the Portal, and more specific use cases of mWater when in-person or remote training is not an option.
Users can sign up to a course at any time and complete it at their own pace.
2) Sign up for any visible course and launch it
3) Study the materials
4) Optionally complete quizzes which are part of the courses
5) Receive an official mWater certificate upon successful completion.
The two basic courses available are Surveyor Basics and Portal Basics. We recommend field enumerators complete the Surveyor Basics course to get familiar with how the app works. For anyone interested in using the platform more broadly, we recommend completing both the Surveyor Basics and Portal Basics courses. Portal Basics covers many key parts of the platform, including how to design, deploy and manage surveys, as well as analyze and map data. These are designed to be completed within a day of concentrated effort.
The estimated time to study all the materials for Surveyor Basics is 2 hours.
The estimated time needed to study all the materials for Portal Basics is 4 hours.
Courses are available in English and a growing number of other languages. If you would like to support us to translate course materials to other languages, please contact info@mwater.co.
Once you have completed the quizzes of a course, you can access an automatically generated official certificate of completion. You can come back to the training centre at a later stage and download this certificate again.
The training center is designed to allow for organization-specific courses as well, which will only be visible to set audiences. To collaborate with us on creating these courses, or for general feedback on the Training Center, please contact info@mwater.co.
